Today the St. Louis Blues (13-6-1) are in Winnipeg to take on the Jets (10-8-3). After their crazy loss to the Red Wings on Thursday, the Jets are looking to gain another two points today before they head out on a 3 game road trip. The Blues on the other hand are just finishing up a road trip today before heading home. Hopefully they will be exhausted from their 4 game road trip and the Jets will be able to capitalize on it.
One of the biggest stories coming out of today's game against the Jets doesn't even involve the boys from Winnipeg. On the Blues end of the ice, defenceman Jay Bouwmeester is scarily close to breaking his iron man streak due to a possible injury. Bouwmeester, who cheated off this writer in high school English class, left the Blues last game in the third period, but the team's keeping their lips closed as to whether or not he will play today against the Jets. Aside from Bouwmeester (who I am now reminded also owes me one for that time I did our group project on my own because of his hockey schedule), the Blues roster remains strong and the Jets will have a fun time trying to get past their goalie.
Please note that this is one of those weird afternoon games and puck drop is set for 3:30pm. The game will be broadcast on TSN3.
