Reassigned: Jets Send Three to Juniors

The Bob Father has spoken: Josh Morrissey, Nicolas Petan, and Nikolaj Ehlers were all sent down to their respective junior teams today.

The Jets now have one two more roster decisions to make before opening night. They have to place a goalie on waivers (most likely Michael Hutchinson) and they have to get their forwards cut down by one more if both Eric O’Dell and Patrice Cormier are placed on injured reserve. If they are both deemed healthy, than expect 3 forwards to be waived/assigned to St. John’s.

Finally, both Petan and Morrissey should return to Canada's World Junior roster in Montreal and Toronto and Ehlers should be on the Danish team barring injury. This is probably the smart move for the Jets as they will have three full years of these young men as pros, without wasting any years of their contracts to finish in twentieth place.
