Alex Burmistrov apparently doesn’t want to be a member of the Winnipeg Jets

What an ugly story to wake up to if you are a fan of the Winnipeg Jets.

This has obviously been brewing for a while, as it has been well known that Coach Noel and Alexander Burmistrov have not seen eye-to-eye for quite some time now. And if the sources that Lawless has talked to are correct, the short and bumpy ride between Burmi and the Jets may be over very soon.

Now, obviously we here at Arctic Ice Hockey believe that Burmistrov is way more valuable to the team than his boxcars suggest, as his advanced stats are very solid for a player his age. I mean, he’s freakin’ 21-years-old! And the one thing I cannot understand is how people complain about his lack of production. He played most of the season on the third or fourth lines with virtually no power-play time. How the hell is he supposed to produce playing with Chris Thorburn?!?! This is the epitome of #noelogic that drove us nuts all year.

Regardless of how you feel about Burmi, you cannot deny that Coach Noel, and by extension Kevin Cheveldayoff, have driven his value into the ground. Could he not have been showcased better if they knew he wanted out? In my opinion, this is on the coach and the leadership group within the locker room and the organization as it sounds like a young kid wasn't mentored properly.

Here's a collection of a few of the reactions from Twitter:

*UPDATE:

Alex Burmistrov posted a picture of a link to the Lawless Article on his Instagram page. Along with the caption "Ne , ne slyshal":

Take that for what you will.
