Winnipeg Jets Power Rankings Compilation - April 17, 2013

Every week, various MSM sites put out their NHL Power Rankings, and every Wednesday during the season we compile them in one tidy chart for your viewing pleasure. You can click on the logo to go to the full rankings from each site. And without any further adieu, here are where the Winnipeg Jets rank this week:

	22	23	Three straight wins, by a cumulative 11-goal margin, keeps the Jets within two points of a playoff spot. Losing D Tobias Enstrom for any amount of time won't make a playoff push any easier.
	19	18	A quirk in the schedule saw the Jets cool their heels over the weekend, given a four-day break between Thursday's win over Florida and a home game versus Tampa on Tuesday night. A game that looms large: April 23 at Washington.
	19	23	"Don’t bury us yet," scream Andrew Ladd’s Jets, who put together consecutive 4-1 victories over the Flyers and Sabres. Ladd himself scored to end a 13-game goal drought.
	20	20	The Jets are close to the playoffs right now but just seem so far away. Still, they're giving it their all and have won three straight -- all on home ice, like last season -- to stay in range of the the last spot (and the Caps in the Southeast).
	-	-	Ed. Note: The NHL does a Super 16 power rankings, and the Jets are not ranked inside the top 16. However, they are one of the 5 teams listed as "Just Missed", so they have them ranked inside the top-21.
	20	15	Among Southeast teams, the Jets have the most wins against the East’s other two divisions. But they’re very mediocre within their own (weak) division.
	18	20	Winnipeg’s current three-game streak is helping erase the five-game skid that preceded it.
	19	21	The Jets have won three straight, so a playoff berth is are still there for the taking. And their next three games are at home, against Tampa Bay, Carolina and the Islanders. So the could open. Thing is: Winnipeg is only 11-9-0 at home this season, a surprising mark, given the fervor of the blue-clad partisans who fill the MTS Centre night after night. The Jets just are not a very exciting team, but they are good enough to make the final two weeks interesting.

The Power Rankings for this past week were, um.... interesting. Despite winning three-straight games at home, and in regulation, the Winnipeg Jets were given very little credit last week despite literally doing all they could do. Their highest ranking was 18, while TSN continues to befuddle and has the Jets at 22. In fact, Scott Cullen has the Tampa Bay Lightning ranked ahead of the Jets...
