Peluso Lights Up Volpatti, But Suffers Upper body Injury

Anthony Peluso once again dropped the mitts against an opponent who was biting off more than they could chew, and once again laid down a beating.

Aaron Volpatti was the latest victim to feel the hammer fists of Tony P. A very one-sided bout saw Peluso land numerous shots to the body and head of Volpatti, but it seems he may have broken his hand on Volpatti’s face and/or helmet, and he is done for the game with what is being labelled an upper body injury, leaving the Jets with 11 forwards for the rest of the game. The fight came at the 2:10 mark of the first period.

It is Volpatti’s first game since being acquired from the Vancouver Canucks on waivers. A valiant effort, but he never stood a chance in this bout. He also suffered some damage, needing stitches to close a wound on the back of his head.
