Much has been made of the Winnipeg Jets propensity to miss the net when they shoot. We all know the Jets lead the league in missed shots, but how does it break down player by player?Lets take a look at who has missed the most shots as a percentage of shot attempts.

Thoughts:
These numbers aren't really that telling after such a small sample of games.
It does make sense that defensemen would have a higher missed shot percentage as they often shoot from far away. It is also worth noting that a few of the Jets D men shoot wide on purpose hoping for a bounce off the end boards. I know Toby and Bogo do it fairly often.
Captain Andrew Ladd on the other hand has no such excuse. Whether this is a trend we will learn later.
Big Buff on Redmond on the other hand have done a good job or getting their pucks on net for D men.
Bryan Little has recieved a lot of flack for missing the net, but it looks like those were probably memorable occurances father than frequent.
It is little surprised that reserved shooters like Little and Wellwood don't miss the net a lot. They tend to shoot when they think they are going to score.
As always, numbers are useless without context, so lets take a look at last year's numbers:

Thoughts:
Andrew Ladd was among the Jets best shooters last year, both he and Kane are well off last year's pace. Hopefully these guys can can get their shot together. They are the Jets two biggest snipers so the team needs them to hit the net.
You will notice that I also included a Fenwick shooting percentage on both tables. There are lots of low numbers and zeros on the Jets current chart. If the team can get a few bounces and some scoring from their depth players it will go a long way towards ending their goal scoring woes.
If you want a team by team look at missed shots percentage, you can check out yesterday's post here.
