It is being reported by AftonbladetSport.se that Winnipeg Jets defensemen Tobias Enstrom, along with centre Alexander Steen (St. Louis Blues) are set to sign with Modo of the SEL, commencing the regular season on Tuesday against Brynas.

From the Swedish article, through Google Translate:

General Manager Markus Naslund was reticent when he was confronted late last night with the data. "Write what you want", he says, and continues: "I will not say anything."

A source within the club, however, confirmed the information. "It's almost ready. Initially it was thought that Alexander would play against Rögle but the paperwork could not be completed in time so he will probably make his debut against Brynäs in place and I would be surprised if it is not dissolved with the financing of Tobiases insurance so that he is ready for play then."

Costs 780 000 SEK Both Alexander Steen and Tobias Enstrom has agreed to play for free.

As we mentioned on Friday, the Swedish government has overturned the SEL's decision to ban short term contracts and furthermore, if Enstrom is playing for merely the coverage of his insurance policy, both the team and the player will be looking to terminate the contract once the NHL lockout is over.

Enstrom spent 5 years with Modo before making the jump to the NHL in 2007-08. In 226 career games he has posted 64 points.
