Impaired Boating Charges Against Dustin Byfuglien Have Been Dropped

Well, Dustin Byfuglien finally got his day in court and it went pretty well for him. According to Mike McIntyre, who was in the court room, “Byfuglien pleading guilty to careless boating.” All other charges were dismissed. Check out his Twitter feed for the full play by play.

In the end, Byfuglien has been sentenced to a $1,000 fine and 30 days community service, with 28 days suspended. Apparently Buff's lawyer asked for the community service to be done in the form of autograph signings, but the judge still gave him "workhouse" treatment. Hopefully this won't be the extent of Buff's offseason training program.

I am sure Buff, TNSE and Jets fans alike are glad to put this story in their rear veiw. No pun intended.
