Power Rankings: You’re only as good as your last game…says TSN.

Some of the pundits this week(*cough*TSN*cough) heavily took into account the 7-1 drubbing and rather ignored the 4 game winning streak that preceded it. To each their own. Most others acknowledged the recent success leading up to that debacle and ranked accordingly.
Oh and once again, CBC looks screwy because their site only updates on Thursday.

Outlet This Week Last Week What They’re Saying
13 24 The Jets began an important stretch in that they play 13 of 15 games at the MTS Centre with three wins in four games. They even beat the red-hot Bruins.
23 22 Building momentum, with four straight wins, the Jets then got drilled 7-1 by Detroit, more than enough to keep them humble. With six in a row at home, though, the Jets could re-establish some of that prior momentum.
20 23 A 7-1 pounding at the hands of Detroit takes some of the gleam off a four-game win streak for the Jets. Still, the Jets are in good position heading into a six-game homestand.

18 23 Six-game homestand kicks off Wednesday, brings Jets some of league’s best teams (Wild, Penguins) and worst (Ducks, Isles)
17 22 Saturday’s game against Detroit was an obvious mismatch, and the scoreboard is a perfect illustration of that, but the Jets had won four games in a row including an impressive and entertaining game against the hottest team in the NHL, Boston, on Tuesday. Since starting the year 5-9-3 the Jets have posted an 8-3-1 record in the following 12 games.
21 22 Coach Claude Noel, a man with a good name at this time of year, got some early Christmas presents from his team, which is 6-3-1 in its last 10. Still, the Jets have allowed 10 more goals than they’ve scored so far (82-92). More consistent goaltending would be a good thing because these guys do have some offensive weapons. Third-year forward Evander Kane continues to shine, with 15 goals and points in seven of his last eight games.
