Western Conference Stanley Cup Odds

Here are today's odds, adjusting for the vig:

Team Average Insider NSAwins Linesmaker Bodog
SJ 12.9 14.1 12.7 12.7 12.2
Chicago 13.7 12.7 14.5 12.7 15
Vancouver 7.0 6.3 5.8 6.3 9.6
Detroit 7.0 5.3 4.6 10.6 7.5
Phoenix 4.6 4.2 5.3 5.3 3.7
Los Angeles 2.6 3.2 2.5 2.1 2.4
Colorado 1.5 2.5 1.1 0.8 1.7
Nashville 1.3 1.8 0.6 1.1 1.7

Just by eyeball, Bodog seems to have done the best job of setting the lines – it also has the smallest vig (48%). I think San Jose is being oversold – they’re not the dominant team they’ve been in the past and they’re depending on Evgeni Nabokov continuing to get lucky. Detroit and particularly Vancouver are a little underrated. I’d also put the Kings ahead of Phoenix – I give the Coyotes very low odds of getting past Detroit in the first round, while the Kings would have a very good chance of beating San Jose or Phoenix.
