Tom breaks down the top ten performers in the league so far. No question - Craig Anderson has been the most valuable player so far. Colorado has been substantially-outshot but has one of the best records in the league. As I noted before, the Buffalo Sabres rode this strategy to substantial success in the late-1990s. The top ten list is mostly goaltenders - in the short-term, a dominant goaltender is truly the most valuable player on the ice. The rest of the best are forwards with high shooting percentages - again, big difference-makers over a short period of time.
