The 24-year old Arborg, Manitoba native will make his seventh start of the season, as reported by the Globe and Mail's James Mirtle:
As expected, Reimer to start in his home province tonight against Jets. Will likely have lots of family on hand.— James Mirtle (@mirtle) February 7, 2013
Reimer has played admirably in light of the swirling Roberto Luongo to T.O. trade rumours, posting a 3-3-0 record along with a .917 SV%.
This will be the second time Reimer starts a game in his home province, the first being a 3-2 loss on New Year's Eve 2011 in which he stopped 32 of 35 shots.
Also making his return to the city of Winnipeg for the first time since coaching the Manitoba Moose is Randy Carlyle, now coach of the Leafs.
