Winnipeg Jets vs. Boston Bruins Gameday Questionnaire: The Dougie Hamilton edition

Back-to-back losses has the Winnipeg Jets reeling in the Eastern Conference standings, as they currently sit in a tie for fifteenth (read: last) with their divisional rivals, the Washington Capitals. In dire need to snap out of their current skid, Winnipeg will host the 8-2-2 Boston Bruins in a Sunday afternoon contest.

As part of our gameday coverage, we had a few questions relating to the Penguins before puck-drop later this evening.

With that, here's Cornelius Hardenbergh of Stanley Cup of Chowder in today's instalment of Gameday Questionnaire:

1. With Tim Thomases 5MM contract now off the books, what do Bruins fans expect Peter Chiarelli do do with Boston's newfound cap space?

We expect him to make a measured decision that will benefit the team in the long and short term. We want him to trade for Iginla, Jagr, Yandle, Selanne, Michael Ryder, and pretty much everyone else on the 2013 free agents list.

2. Since Milan Lucic will be out of today's game, who will be expected to step up in his place?

Former Atlanta Thrasher Rich Peverley (came over in the Wheeler/Stuart trade) is supposed to step into the top six tomorrow. He's done that before, and certainly is deserving enough. Jay Pandolfo should take his spot on the bottom 6 in his Bruins debut.

3. What are the early impressions of rookie defenseman Dougie Hamilton?

Dougie Hamilton is incredible. We're all really psyched about him but we also like making fun of how hyped he is. The next Bobby Orr and all that. Can't thank you guys enough for going off the board with that Schiefle pick!

Ed. Note: We thank Cornelius for giving us his time in this edition of Gameday Questionnaire. Look for our next edition Tuesday with our pals at Die by the Blade.
