Dustin Byfuglien will miss his second straight game for the Winnipeg Jets with an undisclosed lower-body injury

As per Rick Ralph of TSN 1290, Winnipeg Jets' defenseman Dustin Byfuglien will miss his second straight game with what Claude Noel is calling a "lower-body injury":

This is yet another blow for a team that has lost two straight games coming into tonight's action and looked rudderless in their powerplay efforts last night against the Florida Panthers.

Zach Redmond filled in admirably last night for the scratched Byfuglien, registering a TOI over 20:00 and generally playing a mistake free game.

However, with an offense as ferocious as that of the Tampa Bay Lightning — one that features perennial threats such as Steven Stamkos, Martin St. Louis and Vincent Lecavalier — the Jets' defensive corps will have their hands full trying to to keep those aforementioned off the scoreboard.

And without having your thoroughbred that gives you the chance to go shot-for-shot with the opponents powerplay, things could get real messy, real quick tonight in Tampa.
