Winnipeg Jets pre-season schedule released

The Winnipeg Jets will be playing seven pre-season games this year; four at home and three on the round. The Jets will play the Minnesota Wild twice, the Edmonton Oilers twice, the Calgary Flames twice, and the Ottawa Senators once.

Unlike last year the games end on September 30, which probably means that the season will start the second week of October. The Jets have to dress a minimum number of veterans each game so their might be players invited to camp to help them meet the minimum number of veterans needed each game.

The pre-season will be important for some players. While a player should never have to perform to make the team, it can be the deciding factor for someone like Kyle Connor or Jack Roslovic. These players can gain confidence and show the coaching staff that they have continued improving and deserve a shot in the NHL.
