Pavel Kraskovsky is called to the Russian National Team training camp

Pavel Kraskovsky has been called up to the Russian National Team training camp. The Winnipeg Jets 2014 sixth round pick has been playing with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the KHL for the past two season. He participated in the 2016 World Junior Championships where he scored two goals and assisted on two more for four points. This past season he recorded for 18 points Yaroslavl including eight goals. He has also played for Russia this season and recorded zero points.

There is no transfer agreement between the NHL and Russia at the moment so the Jets hold Kraskovsky’s until they either sign him or he retires, if I understand the moratorium of understanding correctly. As he is signed for next season with Yaroslavl, the Jets cannot enter contract negotiations until he does not have a contract anymore. This entire agreement was because of players were leaving both leagues before their contracts were up.
