Winnipeg Jets Practice Update: Laine Back in full practice, Stafford Day-to-Day

Patrik Laine has removed his no-contact jersey and is now participating in all the drills at practice. While he is close to returning, he believes he still needs a couple practices before he can play a game. This is great news as he recently told Finnish media that he had no recollection of the hit that concussed him and the next thing he remembered was waking up in the Jets room on a table. He also said the only reason he walked to the bus was because he was able to move his legs.

While Laine moves closer to his return, Drew Stafford is now listed as day-to-day with a lower body injury. His spot is currently being filled by Andrew Copp. Copp is an interesting choice to have on this line as Nic Petan is more suited to the offensive role and Copp can centre the fourth line between Chris Thorburn and Brandon Tanev while Petan plays in the more offensive role alongside Nikolaj Ehlers and Mark Scheifele.
