Winnipeg Jets draft Jacob Cederholm 97th overall in 2016 Entry Draft

Jacob Cederholm has been drafted by the Winnipeg Jets with the 97th pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Cederholm, who played for the HV71 of the SuperElit League last year, had one goal and 4 assists in 35 games.

A captain and a right handed defenseman, Cederholm has been ranked (via Elite Prospects):

Ranked #92 by Hockeyprospect.com
Ranked #48 by ISS Hockey
Ranked #103 by Future Considerations
Ranked #70 by McKeen’s Hockey
Ranked #16 by NHL Central Scouting (EU Skaters)
Ranked #78 by TSN/McKenzie

Here’s what Elite Prospects say about him:

Cederholm is an aggressive shutdown defenseman with limited offensive skills. Has a big body and skates well enough for someone of his size. Excellent reach and does well in 1-on-1 situations. Will not wow anyone with his offensive tools or puck skills. Good team player with leadership qualities, however. (EP 2016)
