Chase De Leo called up on an emergency basis

After losing J.C. Lipon to injury against the Chicago Blackhawks (I believe that happened, so many injuries), the Winnipeg Jets have recalled the Manitoba Moose’s leading scorer, Chase De Leo, on an emergency basis. Unless I am wrong, the Jets have only recalled players on an emergency basis this year, leaving them with four call-ups that they can make at any time, even if everyone is healthy.

De Leo is a rookie professional and Eric Comrie’s childhood friend. He is also one of the few brightspots for the Moose during this miserable season. Although it would be nice to see a skilled player play with other skilled players, it is likely that De Leo will play on the fourth line with Chris Thorburn.

Finally, this call-up could be short depending on the health of other people, especially because Nikolaj Ehlers and Joel Armia are inching closer and closer to a return from injury up front.
