Jets vs Canucks Post game

The Jets decided to put the tank effort on hold tonight and absolutely leveled the Vancouver Canucks 5-2. Marko Dano had a pair of goals and Mark Scheifele kept his point streak alive. Alexander Burmistrov was able to score his seventh of the season as well (more on him later). Even though we are all begging for this to go downhill a win here or there helps keep the darkness from fully engulfing us. We all deserve a reprieve every once in awhile.

Assorted Musings

  • Michael Hutchinson played tonight and unless it’s my imagination, he seems to be getting more games than Pavelec. Could this mean we are finally seeing Ondrej’s reign of terror come to an end? Or are they actually showcasing Hutch to make an off season trade (perhaps at the draft)?
  • I know Burmistrov had two points tonight but I believe the ship has sailed on him becoming an offensive threat. Doesn’t mean he can’t be a useful player to have on your team, but don’t look to him if you need to put some points on the board.
  • I don’t care what anyone says, I love Tyler Myers. Fight me.
  • Thirteen games are left, how many to would you like to see the Jets win to keep you from descending into madness?
