Game #25 GDT: New Jersey Devils at Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg Jets fans breathed a sigh of relief on Sunday, as the team marked the start of its homestand by snapping a five-game losing streak. It’s now incumbent on the squad to keep the good times rolling, this time against the New Jersey Devils.

Luckily, the home side has reinforcements coming in the form of Bryan Little. The 29-year-old may have been supplanted as Winnipeg’s 1C by Mark Scheifele, but his steady two-way play has been missed nonetheless. Little’s return also comes in the nic (**wink wink**) of time, as Nic Petan has been placed on injured reserve.

Connor Hellebuyck starts once more, after a terrific 42-save performance against the Nashville Predators. What many (if not most) Jets fans hoped for has finally come to pass: the net is Hellebuyck’s. His numbers are steadily climbing after a rough start to the season, and the 23-year-old currently owns a .915 Sv%. It's a number matching that of his rival tonight, Devils goaltender Cory Schneider, so it can't be that bad, right?

On the other side, New Jersey's 10-6-5 puts them right in the thick of things so far as the standings are concerned. Fortunately for Winnipeg, that record is mostly built upon a 7-0-2 line at home, vs. a thoroughly less impressive 3-6-3 on the road. If there's a Devils player the Jets will have to watch, it's forward Mike Cammalleri. Since missing six games for personal reasons, the 5'9" veteran has posted eight points in three games. Yes, three. Stick to him like glue, Trouba!
