Overview:

What can be said about Finland's Scoring Phenom, #2 pick in the 2016 Entry Draft, and future superstar with the Winnipeg Jets Patrik Laine that already hasn't been said?

Well, here's what Matias Strozyk from Eliteprospects.com had this to say about Laine – "A natural scorer, Laine's greatest asset is his intimidating shot. He's not a speedy skater, but possesses power and a long stride, and protects the puck well with his large frame and longer stick. Overall, skating has been a minor issue through Laine's development but has improved with some help from his ability to read the game. Laine has the hunger to create chances on his own from the wing and actively looks for and creates opportunities to use his shot. His elite wrist shot is notable for its quick release and his powerful one-timer from the top of the circle is a constant threat on the man-advantage."

Andy:

All eyes will be on Laine as he makes his NHL and Winnipeg Jets debut. From the frying pan into the fire, Laine goes from laid back media darling to one of the most desired NHL picks of all time, to suddenly reach super stardom with th eWinnipeg Jets faithful…and he hasn't played a game for the team yet. Here's to hoping that Laine takes it all in stride and enjoys his first season in the NHL.Ian:

I never thought in my wildest dreams the Jets would luck into nabbing a talent of Laine's caliber. He's already being compared to Alexander Ovechkin and Steven Stamkos when it comes to his scoring ability. Obviously Matthews was the consensus 1st overall pick, but I don't think the Jets could have asked for a better player for their team's needs. Get ready for the Laine show.Brian:

Laine is really good. Simple as that. He's the best prospect the Jets have had. By far the highest ceiling, and who knows where the ceiling even is at this point? With him at his natural LW spot and Ehlers at his natural RW spot, the duo could absolutely tear up the league. Time will tell how good Laine will be, all I know is I'm still over the moon that we've somehow landed him.Cole:

I was so excited when the Jets won the second overall pick in the draft lottery. Of the players expected to go at that spot, I was hoping it would be Laine. Even though I don't take in Euro league action or the World Championships, his reputation as a goal scorer precedes him. Almost as much as his ability, I'm giddy about his star power. No offence to the likes of Scheifele and Trouba, of all the youngsters in the organization, I think Laine will bring some real attention to Winnipeg, more than Puljujarvi would have.Summary:
