Preview: Winnipeg Jets at Nashville Predators

The Winnipeg Jets are set to take on their divisional rival, and the team with the NHL's top record tonight. The Nashville Predators have exceeded even the most optimistic expectations this year en route to a sure playoff birth. The Jets are not sitting as pretty. They'd be in the playoffs if the season ended now, but their margin for error is slim.

Tonight's game starts at 7:00 CST. It can be seen on TSN3 or heard on TSN 1290.

Keys to the Game

Winnipeg Jets

My Myers. Winnipeg Jets fans will be seeing a couple new Jets for the first time. Tyler Myers will play in place of the recently traded Zach Bogosian. He will also adopt Zach Bogosian's former partner, Toby Enstrom. What has yet to be seen is how minutes will be allocated. Will they still log top pair ice?

Buff's back. Buff is also back on defense and is set to skate with Ben Chairot. Dustin Byfuglien is an impact player – particularly when activating from the blue line. He scores from the blue line and he creates consistent offense for the rest of the roster.

Drew up a plan. Drew Stafford will make his first appearance with the Winnipeg Jets. He is a quality player and he will be given ever opportunity to succeed. Stafford will be slotted in next to two of the Jets hottest forwards in Mark Scheifele and Mathieu Perreault. It would be nice to see drew contribute right off the bad.

Nashville Predators

Not today. No tips for the Pred.

Player to Boo Mercilessly

Mike Ribeiro is easy to hate. Hate that man.
