Game #24 Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Minnesota Wild

What can I say! The Winnipeg Jets (10-11-2) are in a deep, deep rut! Starting into this 3 game road trip, the Winnipeg Jets faced a formidable foe in the Washington Capitals. Having lost that contest 5-3, the Jets had US Thanksgiving off. Today’s matinee contest is against the Minnesota Wild, a main central division rival, and a prime opportunity for the Jets to get back on track and find the win column again.

Catch the game this afternoon at 3 pm CST on FS-N, FS-WI TSN 3, TSN 1290.

Keys to the game: Winnipeg Jets

Keep the feet moving for a full 60 minutes, stay out of the penalty box, and play the Winnipeg Jets brand of hockey in speed, slamming and banging, and having the defense responsibly join in on the offensive attack.

Key to the game: Minnesota Wild

A defensive game is the style of hockey the Wild are known for, despite the previous two games against the Jets being higher scoring affairs. Drill down on the defense and the Wild should be able to stifle the Jets speed.

Player to boo mercilessly:

Zach Parise maybe making his return on Friday. Parise hasn’t played since spraining his MCL on Nov. 5th, and has been skating for approximately a week.

Prediction:

Jets get a win on the road, as 3-2 will be the final score.
