With the 11th Pick in the Fourth Round the Winnipeg Jets Select Nelson Nogier

With the 101st pick, the Winnipeg Jets select Nelson Nogier of the Saskatoon Blades.

After selecting Chase De Leo two spots earlier, the Jets put the final piece of the Ponikarovsky trade to use and select Nelson Nogier, a defenceman from the Saskatoon Blades.

Nogier was injured during the second half of the year, but is a top pairing defender when healthy. He is incredibly smart and wants to know his Corsi (s/t to SaskHabs).

From Future Considerations:

Nogier is a big shutdown defenseman who is physical in his own end and key in close/tight situations. He covers a lot of ice with his mobility and poise doesn't seem to be an issue. (August 2013)
