The Night That Was: Exploding Kings Top Hawks

Recap:

Los Angeles Kings 6 Chicago Blackhawks 2

The LA Kings exploded for a 5 goal third period and the Chicago Blackhawks had no answer for this. Two great teams playing each other makes me hope that this series is a long one and that good hockey is played every game. GAME THREE IS ON CBC and the series is tied 1-1.

Jets Links:

Dave Tippet says some nice things about everyones favourite water boy, Mark Scheifele.

The Prince Albert Raiders have a nice interview with prospect Josh Morrissey.

Breaking: Sean Gentille reminds us that when two good hockey players play together goals usually occur.

Justin Bourne suspects Thomas Vanek is playing injured. He says he’s fine, but it’s the playoffs.

Peter Budaj is a great teammate (and links were slow today).

Cam Charron explains the difference between rate and rank in relation to analytics.

Charron also explains when hockey scouts should employ a K.I.S.S. method of scouting. (K.I.S.S. meaning keep it simple stupid).

Puckology on hockey and narratives. As a history nerd, I love this.
