Calling All Hockey Fans

Jets fans came back at large when the Jets returned. - Marianne Helm

I have noticed that many hockey fans in Winnipeg came back to the Jets after adopting a different NHL team during the time the Jets were away. I have a few questions about this.

I know I became a fan of the Montreal Canadiens because of one win in January 2011 against the Boston Bruins. I know that our evil overlord here at AIH is a Caps fan first for some reason. After the fan post from Laura looking for fans of the Thrashers in Atlanta I started to wonder a few things. If you are a Jets fan they are:

How long have you been a hockey fan?

In the time between the Jets departure and their return, did you follow another team?

What team did you follow and why?

Do you still follow that team?

If you followed a different team, do you still follow them?

Did you stick with the Jets organization and cheer for the Coyotes instead?

If you are a fan of a different team:

How did you become a fan of your team?

How long have you been a fan of your team?

Would you ever consider switching allegiances from your team?

Did you ever cheer for a different team?

Would anything, including relocation of your team, cause you to cheer for another team?

If you would like to answer these questions, please email me at swimkid@mymts.net and provide what team you cheer for in it. If you do not want your name published, just note that in the email, I will respond with confirmation that you are okay with the information being made public.

Please respond by April 30th and I will start compiling all the responses on May 1st and hopefully have the article completed in the following days.

Thanks for your help,

Cara
