Winter Olympics Sochi 2014: Day 8 Men’s Hockey Recap

Slovenia 3 – 1 Slovakia

Recap: Holy Dina, how bad is Slovakia at these 2014 Sochi Olympics? After coming within a goal of a gold medal appearance in the 2010 Olympics, they have not lived up to any kind of expectation this year, culminating their Preliminary Round play with a 3-1 loss to Slovenia. Tomas Jurco would score the lone Slovak goal in the loss while Slovenia was led by Anze Kopitar (1G) and a strong goaltending performance from Robert Kristan.
