Aleksander Barkov will miss the remainder of Finland's tournament with a lower-body injury.

Apparently Sweden isn't the only European team to be struck with injury at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Alexander Barkov, rookie centre for the Florida Panthers has been ruled out for the remainder of Finland's tournament with what's being diagnosed as a lower-body injury.

Barkov suffered the injury in the third period of Friday morning's match against Norway, a game Finland would go on to win by a 6-1 final.

Through two games, Barkov had yet to register a point, playing on the first line along Teemu Selanne and Mikael Granlund.

Finland is next in action tomorrow morning, concluding their Preliminary Round against an equally undefeated Canadian squad. The winner of tomorrow's contest will claim top spot in Group B, earning a trip directly into Quarterfinal play.
