Evander Kane out until February

Because the Winnipeg Jets are trying to prove that if it was not for bad luck they would have no luck at all, Evander Kane is out with a lower body injury after blocking a shot against the Minnesota Wild.

Tonight the plan looks like playing Chris Thorburn in Evander Kane's spot on Adam Lowry's wing.

Thankfully for the Jets, the St. Louis Blues have placed Magnus Paajarvi on waivers and although Paajarvi has struggled to produce at a NHL level, but he can skate and push possession in the right direction. Because of the long-term nature of the Kane injury, the Jets would be prudent to place a claim on Paajarvi and play him in Kane's spot.

The other long-term option would be to recall Carl Klingberg or Eric O'Dell as both players are infinitely more skilled than Thorburn. O maybe they make a trade, Another in house, on the team, option is to play TJ Galiardi on the third line versus the fourth line.

Evander Kane meanwhile is trying to figure out who he pissed off so much to get his injury luck.
