Grant Clistome to miss remainder of Winnipeg Jets’ season after back surgery

In a tidbit of important news that slipped by me last week, the Winnipeg Jets have confirmed that defeceman Grant Clitsome will miss the remainder of the regular season after having back surgery in California.

The injury was suffered in the team's December 17, 2013 meeting with the Buffalo Sabres which they would go on to lose 4-2.

In thirty-two regular season appearances this year, Clitsome registered twelve points (2G, 10A) ranking him fourth among Jets defencemen.

The Clarkson University grad will make his return in 2014-15 for the second year of his three-year contract slated to pay him an additional $4MM USD.
