  • When experiencing a scoring slump, you’re likely to start gripping your stick a little tighter
  • Being too defensive means you’ll rarely score – and if you do, it’ll likely be an ugly one.
  • Euros with their long hair, flashy style and accents get all the attention.
  • Backchecking may seem like fruitless hard work but it will pay off in the end.
  • A quick wrister can be more effective than a long wind up for a big slapper.
  • You can’t teach size.
  • Playing too aggressive can get you thrown out of the game.
  • Hanging around the “dirty areas” may mean you’ll be punished more, but you’ll get more chances to score.
  • Scoring off the rebound still counts as scoring.
  • Having a quick release can be a good thing.
  • Getting a facewash is disgusting, especially after you’ve scored.
  • If you can dangle, you’ll score more often than not.
  • Two minutes in the box can feel like an eternity.
  • Sometimes, no matter how hard you bang away at it, you’re still going to get stopped by the big pad.
