Some comments:

  • The even strength numbers show very little change. Our shots for are down slightly, our shots against are also down slightly. Both shooting and save percentages are remarkably similar.
  • The powerplay has taken a big step back this year. Both shots for and goals for per has dropped significantly.
  • Outside of goaltending, the penalty kill has improved. Shots against has gone down although a drop in save percentage has eaten up any improvement that would have had.
