Zach Redmond is recovering from surgery to repair severed femoral artery caused by a skate laceration

Zach Redmond's cut was so deep that it damaged the femoral artery. He is now resting comfortably in a Raleigh hospital after a successful surgery to repair the ligament this afternoon.

As of now the extent of the injury is unknown, but reports saw Redmond was cut by a skate this morning.

This has to be a scary moment for the Jets rookie. Hopefully he is OK. Our thoughts are with him.

We well do our best to keep you updated as the story continues to develop.

This shouldn't be a shock. Apparently it was a "deep" and "wide" cut. Hopefully surgery goes well.
