It’s being announced by Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press that pugilist Anthony Peluso will make his Winnipeg Jets‘ and NHL debut tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Chris Thorburn was named the late scratch in favour of the 23-year old North York, ON native to join the Jets' fourth line for tonight's game. In thirty-six regular season games with the Peoria Rivermen of the AHL, Peluso had scored five goals and added six assists to go with fifty-six penalty minutes.
Fans have been clamouring for Peluso’s insertion to the line-up for quite sometime, if only to see exactly what General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff saw in the St. Louis Blues 2007 sixth round draft pick after Jets’ management acquired him off waivers in mid-January.
At the very least, the MTS Centre crowd should expect some fisticuffs.
