Matt Halischuk suffers upper-body injury, will not return versus Dallas Stars

Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports

After scoring in the first, Matt Halischuk will miss the remainder of this afternoon's game with what's being called an upper-body injury.

Winnipeg Jets' forward Matt Halsichuk will not return to this afternoon's match-up against the Dallas Stars due to what's being called an "upper-body" injury by the Jets' official Twitter account.

Halischuk put the Jets on the board mid-way through the first period, scoring his third goal of the season off a Mark Scheifele rebound. The severity of Halischuk's ailment is still unknown but we will update you as the situations progress.

Dallas currently leads Winnipeg 2-1 early in the second period.
