We discussed it briefly last night in our Story Stream, but Winnipeg Jets will be without defenceman Zach Bogosian tomorrow as they pay visit to the Minnesota Wild. Bogosian was diagnosed with what’s being called a lower-body injury in the second period of WInnipeg’s 3-2 shootout victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. He did not return to the contest.
Bogosian has become a frequent visitor to Winnipeg's IR listing as the American-born defender has missed 32 games over the past two seasons due to a variety of injuries.
For further insight as to what this means to the Jets' roster heading into tomorrow's match-up, we turn to TSN 1290 personality Darrin Bauming:
No Zach Bogosian at #NHLJets practice today. IR-listers Jacob Trouba in non-contact colours, while Mark Stuart is practicing fully.

Noel says Bogosian (lower-body) will get further assessment today. He is “longer than day-to-day” and will not play tomorrow in Minny.

Neither Mark Stuart (hip) or Jacob Trouba (neck) will play either. They both remain on injured reserve. Zach Redmond will likely suit up.

With both Mark Stuart and Jacob Trouba still working their way back into the line-up, the Jets have recalled defenceman Julian Melchiori from St. John’s (AHL) for emergency purposes. As indicated by Bauming, it’s likely we will see 2012-13 darling Zach Redmond suit up in his first NHL game since suffering a horrific leg laceration that nearly cost him his life.
We will continue to monitor the Bogosian situation as news emerges on his status past Sunday's game.
