Friday Morning Altitude Check: Dustin Byfuglien’s Pain in the Ass

Hey all! Here is our feature running Monday through Friday that will bring you up to date on what's going on in the media pertaining to the Winnipeg Jets and elsewhere in the NHL.

Here is what's in the news for Friday, September 28, 2012:

Dustin Byfuglien calls his summer trial a 'pain in the ass'. Oh wait, that was just the Mallomars. He went on to discussed concerns of his weight fluctuation: "I’m right around the same (as last year). Every year it’s always the same stuff and somebody is always going to comment on something. For me, it’s my weight. I sit and smile at it. It doesn’t matter, as long as I’m able to move and go." [Winnipeg Sun]

More Byfuglien coverage! “[Winning the Norris] has always been a thought that it would be nice to win, but it’s not something I push to do. I go out there, I do my job and I just have fun with the boys.” Somehow Winnipeg Sun Editors got Jets’ Byfuglien wants to be in Norris discussion out of that. [Winnipeg Sun]

Jets' players are still hopeful that a CBA deal can be reached. Said Mark Stuart: "At least there's communication. And we should all be optimistic as long as those discussions are taking place." [WFP]
