Crapped-On Goaltenders
Some smart guy named Benjamin munched a lot of numbers. He came to the conclusion that Chris Mason's 2011-12 season was among the most favorable seasons that any goaltender has faced over the last 5 yrs. In another interesting note, the first part of the study showed a huge discrepancy between the help that Mason and Pavelec received . Anybody have a thought as to why? I have heard some speculation that rebound control could alter a team's Fenwick, but I really have no idea if this is true. Could it be a simple as Mason facing poor Fenwick teams? What do you guys think?
