Jets part ways with picks

As per Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press, the Winnipeg Jets have opted not to sign prospects Fredrik Pettersson-Wentzel, Sebastian Owuya or Kendall McFaull, rendering them free agents as of June 1, 2012. "The Jets will not be making a contract offer to 20-year-old Swedish netminder [Fredrik Pettersson-Wentzel], selected in the fifth round (128th overall) by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2010 NHL entry draft. Also becoming free agents -- meaning the Jets are pushing on and not offering them contracts -- are defencemen Sebastian Owuya and Kendall McFaull."
