Hey, Gary and I agree on something. The Jets are desperately lacking more top-six talent, most particularly a first line centre…. and then you go and spoil it all by writing this: "Sending Burmistrov to St. John's to gain valuable seasoning on the power play and at centre shouldn't be ruled out but could be a difficult move because he's already played two years in the NHL. Some decisions by previous management need to be lived with." Sorry Gary, the Jets have to play with the hand they were dealt. While Burmistrov should have played at least one more year of junior hockey after he was drafted, the best thing to do would be to continue playing him on the wing as opposed to demoting him. [WFP]

After settling the cold sandwich issue, Andrew Ladd now has nothing but great things to say about Jets management. [Winnipeg Sun]

The Winnipeg Free Press will be holding a tailgate party to celebrate the Winnipeg Jets inaugural season, but it's technically not a tailgate party….. Okay then, so it's just a regular party? Do I have to bring my own spinach dip? [WFP]

Although he hasn’t scored a goal in the past eleven games, Blake Wheeler isn’t ready to start watching the playoffs. He’s become acclimated to watching his eighteen other teammates play up close and having to switch to High Definition television just doesn’t compare to the real thing. [Winnipeg Sun]

It's here! It's here! It's finally here! No, not Opening Day or the Masters. It's Frozen Four time, you clod! Sorry Canadian viewers, you'll have to find an online stream. [SB Nation]

More on the potential relocation of the Phoenix Coyotes. Hopefully they can figure something out to keep their team in Arizona. [Puck Daddy]

Finally, the Backhand Shelf blog asks you what was the dirtiest cheat shot in the NHL this year. [Backhand Shelf]
