NHL Draft Lottery Results

Stay connected for news and updates

A familiar scene over the last 3 years, as yet again the Edmonton Oilers will pick 1st overall in Pittsburgh on June 22nd

So tonight we find out who Failed For Nail. Who gets first pick overall, and who wins the lottery (those two do not go hand in hand)?

We will soon find out, as everyone's favorite henchman Bill Daly will tell us who picks from 1st through 14th. The Winnipeg jets have a 2.7% chance of moving up to 5th spot overall, while there is a small chance they move back to 10th overall. In all likelihood the Jets will pick 9th overall, but you never know. Just last year the New Jersey Devils were the 12th worst team in the league, but managed to move up to 8th overall.

Find out the results after THE JUMP

  1. Edmonton Oilers
  2. Columbus Blue Jackets
  3. Montreal Canadiens
  4. New York Islanders

  9. Winnipeg Jets
  10. Tampa Bay Lightning
  11. Washington Capitals (via Colorado)
  12. Buffalo Sabres

So there you have it. The local boys pick 9th, as expected, while the Oilers won the lottery and the right to pick first overall.
