Hey all! Here is our feature running Monday through Friday that will bring you up to date on what’s going on in the media pertaining to the Winnipeg Jets.

Here is what's in the news for Friday, March 9, 2012:

Recapping last night’s loss to the Vancouver Canucks: “They were close and might have deserved something on Thursday night but the only move the Winnipeg Jets made was down in the standings. Losing 3-2 on a late goal by Sami Pahlsson of the Vancouver Canucks, the Jets dropped to ninth spot in the Eastern Conference after the Washington Capitals pulled a late comeback and won in overtime.” [WFP]

Our SB Nation pals at Nucks Misconduct offer more from a Canucks perspective. "Its hard to not cheer for the Winnipeg Jets in their inaugural season of their second NHL go around. Its a great Canadian hockey fan story, the MTS Centre kicks ass, and there is all these connections to this team." [Nucks Misconduct]

Winnipeg is currently sitting at a 39.5% probability of making the post-season. With an overtime win last night, the Washington Capitals leap-frogged the Jets and currently hold a 53.1% chance. As you can see, it's a really thin line.[Sports Club Stats]

Finally The Active Stick on the latest "Stats vs. Watch the Game!" debate: "Nobody cares about your pathological need to be better than everyone or right about everything. You are not smarter than someone because they don’t agree with you, or because they’ve decided they need a little more convincing before they’ll come around to your way of thinking. Oh, and by the way, talking to someone like they’re an idiot doesn’t make them an idiot, and it doesn’t make them want to listen to you. It just makes them think you’re an asshole."
