Thursday Morning Altitude Check: The Jets’ fan that can

Hey all! Here is our feature running Monday through Friday that will bring you up to date on what’s going on in the media pertaining to the Winnipeg Jets and elsewhere in the NHL.

Here is what's in the news for Thursday, December 13, 2012:

Friend of the blog Melissa Martin — with the help of friend of all Jets fans, Constantine Gamvrelis (aka @jetsxoxo) put together this article on the fan who crashed the lockout meetings.[Spectator Tribune]

Gary Lawless breaks down some of the key issues that would be facing the Jets in a shortened season. He also attempts to predict the line combos and they are a bit of a mess. Nik Antropov appears to be cut and Alexander Burmistrov is relegated to 4th line duties. Oof Baboof! [Winnipeg Free Press]

How would a shortened season impact the Jets? [Winnipeg Sun]

The Jets have yet to decide if they’ll leave Mark Scheifele in the Juniors, should the CBA situation is resolved. [Winnipeg Sun]

Mark Stuart will soon get his start with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL along with a few other notes. [Winnipeg Free Press]

The St. John's IceCaps lost again. This time they were thrashed 4-0. They have been bit by the injury bug and they still can't buy a goal. In two games vs Hershey – the IceCaps put 63 shots on net, but they only have one goal to show for it. [IceCaps]

Sportsnet will be airing a couple IceCaps games later this month. Assuming I don't suck at time zones, the games air at 6:30 p.m. CT on Dec. 21 and 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 28. [IceCaps]
