Jeff Parsons, St. John's IceCaps
Paul Postma scored the overtime winner for the IceCaps last night. Today they'll look to get over the .500 hump against the Providence Bruins. Join us for today's GameDay Thread, which we promise will be filled with sarcasm and dry wit.
ST. JOHN'S ICECAPS (5-5-0-0) at PROVIDENCE BRUINS (2-5-0-0)
Nov. 4, 2012 at Dunkin' Donuts Center
Start: 3:05 PM EST
NHL Affliates: Winnipeg Jets, Boston Bruins
Enemy Blog: Stanley Cup of Chowder
St. John's IceCaps leading scorers:
Alexander Burmistrov- 10GP, 1G, 5A, 6PTS
Spencer Machacek- 10GP, 3G, 2A, 5PTS
Zach Redmond- 10GP, 3G, 2A, 5PTS
Providence Bruins leading scorers:
Maxim Suave - 7GP, 4G, 2A, 6PTS
Jamie Tardif - 7GP, 2G, 3A, 5PTS
Ryan Spooner - 7GP, 1G, 4A, 5PTS
After returning from injury on Friday night, it took only two games for last year's MVP to make a difference as Paul Postma's overtime winner was the difference for the IceCaps last night in Worcester. St. John's won't have long to bask in last night's one-goal victory as they now head to Providence this afternoon to play their third in a five game road trip.
The Bruins are off to a shaky start, winning only two of their first seven game. Similar to the 'Caps, Providence has had difficultly scoring on their opponents this year, as they have only filled the net 15 times; the worst of all Atlantic Division teams.
Game time is 2:05 PM CST and we hope you'll stop in and join us for it!
