GameDay Thread: St. John's IceCaps at Portland Pirates - Cumberland County Civic Center

Jeff Parsons, St. John’s IceCaps

The IceCaps are in Portland, MA tonight for the first of five straight road games, three of which will be played this weekend. Join us for today's GameDay Thread, which we promise will be filled with sarcasm and dry wit.

ST. JOHN'S ICECAPS (4-4-0-0) at PORTLAND PIRATES (3-3-1-0)
Nov. 2, 2012 at Cumberland County Civic Center
Start: 7:30 PM EST
Enemy Blog: Five For Howling

Season series tied at 1-1-0-0.

St. John's IceCaps leading scorers:

Alexander Burmistrov- 8GP, 1G, 5A, 6PTS

Spencer Machacek- 8GP, 3G, 2A, 5PTS

Zach Redmond- 8GP, 3G, 2A, 5PTS

Portland Pirates leading scorers:

Alexandre Bolduc- 7GP, 6G, 5A, 11PTS

Chris Conner- 7GP, 5G, 5A, 10PTS

Rob Klinkhammer- 7GP, 3G, 7A, 10PTS

Tonight the IceCaps' will exchange pleasantries with the Portland Pirates for the third time in two weeks as they take to the ice in the Cumberland County Civic Center later tonight.

The IceCaps have struggled in the scoring department this year and, save for an eight goal outburst against these same Pirates last week, have only scored thirteen goals in the seven other games they've played. Winning while scoring 1.86 goals per game is difficult in any league, so it will be paramount for the IceCaps' to rekindle some of last Tuesday's scoring magic starting tonight.
