The season did not start quite according to script last night for the St. John's IceCaps, who were bested 4-2 by the Springfield Falcons.

Marking goals for the IceCaps' were second year player Carl Klingberg (PP) and Hunter Tremblay. Edward Pasquale stopped 29 of the 33 shots he faced in the loss.

Today St. John's travels to Connecticut where they will face-off against future NHLer Chris Kreider and the Connecticut Whale. Game time begins at 3:00PM EST and we hope you'll stop by and join us for more AHL coverage.
