Game Preview: Jets Look To Blow Away Hurricanes
After a dissapointing loss of a point to division rivals on Saturday night, the Winnipeg Jets once again face off against a Southeast division opponent: the Carolina Hurricanes.
As mentioned, the Jets are coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to the Panthers, a game in which they dominated for almost every second, but were denied 41 out of 44 times by Florida goalie Scott Clemmensen. They also fell victim to their own mistakes, as the Jets continuously gave up big pizzas, or turnovers that would cost them and result in goals against. Victories can be hard to come by when you work against yourself.
The Canes are coming off a 2-1 OT loss at the hands of the Islanders in a battle of Eastern conference cellar dwellers.
Keys to the game, Player Numbers and Lineups coming at you after THE JUMP
Keys to the Game:
- Outscore the opposition
- Minimize turnovers and sloppy play
- Traffic in front and pouncing on rebounds. 44 shots should result in more than 3 goals.

With the Rangers on tap tomorrow
I’d consider this a must win if we are to keep our playoff hopes alive. 3 of 4 points in the next 48 hours would be okay with me!

I am a Canes fan.
Like the article. The jets have had the Canes number all year and may still have it after tonight. Look to see a completely diff team with the same roster. Since Muller has arrived everything about the team is better. Only problem lately is finishing offense chances where as I’ve seen the jets have done well at so should be a great game. Now if Staal can just get scoring again….
