Updated - Scoring Chance Data since November 3rd

Updated: I've added a couple of Ranger games and split up the table so it reads a little easier.

I put together all the scoring chance data I could find since November 3rd. Ben tabulated the SC data prior to that here:

link

Data is for 10 games:

Nov 3: 3-0 win vs NYI

Nov 6 3-0 loss vs NYR

Nov 26 4-2 loss vs BOS

Dec 1 1-0 win vs PHX

Dec 9 4-2 win vs CAR

Dec 17 5-3 win vs ANA

Dec 22 4-0 win vs MTL

Jan 4 7-3 loss vs MTL

Jan 12 2-0 loss vs SJS

Jan 24 3-0 loss vs NYR

Many thanks to George, Angy, its_showtyme, and the guys at En attendant les Nordiques for recording the chances.

Ed. note: Follow the jump for chance data table.

This is excellent

Thanks, Alex. Interesting to see how well Boogie with Stu was doing at evens.

Stu’s #’s especially surprised me.

Is the PK data cut off the screen for everyone? I’ll try and fix that next week.

Yes, I believe so

basically, if the chart is too wide for the editor interface (so that a horizontal scroll bar appears), it’ll be too wide for the post.

OK. The PK #‘s were interesting so stay tuned. Probably can’t get at it til Tuesday as the data is on my other computer.

Is it worth combining the 2 sets of data?

Another project I’m thinking about would be to compare the SC data to Corsi or Fenwick to see how well they correlate.

by Alex Hemsky on Jan 21, 2012 4:05 PM EST up reply actions

Definitely worth it

I’ll be interested in seeing the Corsi/Fenwick to SC correlation(s).

Rec'd for all the effort.

Nice work.

EV

- Suprisingly Eric Fehr is our best regular by this measure
- Other + players are Burmi, Little & Glass
- Antropov & Wellwood coming out poorly
- For the D Enstrom??, followed by Hainsey & Buff come out worst
- Defensive Stalwart Mark Stuart is our only +’ve D

by Alex Hemsky on Jan 26, 2012 5:01 PM EST reply actions

PP

- Wheeler, Kane & Little best forwards
- Antropov, Ladd & Stapleton worst forwards
- Dustin leading the D

by Alex Hemsky on Jan 26, 2012 5:04 PM EST reply actions

PK

- For the forwards Slater, Antropov & Meat stand out as the worst.
- The remaining forwards have similar numbers although Little is slightly ahead
- Of the D with heavy PK minutes Oduya leads, followed by Enstrom
- Dustin & Flood doing good with limited minutes
- Bogo putting up the worst numbers
