Pretty standard when you have to chop a 50+ preseason roster down to around 25. The sent-down are John Albert, Akim Aliu, Chris Carrozzi, Ben Chiarot, Kevin Clark, Mark Flood, Michael Forney, Riley Holzapfel, Jason Jaffray, Arturs Kulda, Peter Mannino, Julian Melchiori, Eric O'Dell, Edward Pasquale, Travis Ramsey, Zach Redmond, Marco Rosa, Cody Sol, Shawn Weller, and Shayne Wiebe. They join last week's Austen Brassard, Michael Kirkpatrick, Levko Koper, Adam Lowry, Kendal McFaull, Sebastian Owuya, Ivan Telegin, and Zach Yuen as players who won't start the season with the big club. These were all good moves; I don't think any of these players either a.) have an available spot on the Jets, or b.) should be rushed to the bigs.
